About
The Blueprint project started in 2023 at the Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady University (FranU) DPT program.
Musculoskeletal ultrasound (MSKUS) will soon be considered an entry-level skill for physical therapists; however, integration in DPT programs remains lacking. The Blueprint was designed to address barriers to integrating MSKUS in DPT programs by providing resources and strategies for faculty members.
The MSKUS Blueprint is a collection of resources for DPT faculty to begin integrating musculoskeletal ultrasound into their curriculum. At the cornerstone are free teaching resources including lesson plans, powerpoints, videos, reference papers, and lab activities. These resources are free to DPT faculty members. Realizing that “one size does not fit all” in curriculum integration, the Blueprint aims to provide a variety of partner resources to help customize individual curricular programs. The Blueprint connects DPT faculty with various partners to assist them with curricular integration.

These resources are faculty at DPT programs actively integrating the Blueprint materials within their curriculum. They serve as resources for other faculty members by sharing their MSKUS integration experience and expertise. They also perform research on MSKUS integration.

These resources are stakeholder organizations or companies that provide advocacy, research, certification, and educational resources for MSKUS integration in DPT.
