Live Hands-On MSK Ultrasound Training
Introduction to Ultrasound Equipment and Settings: Learn the essentials of ultrasound technology, including how to optimize equipment settings for musculoskeletal imaging. Gain confidence in using ultrasound through practical guidance on knobology, transducer selection, and placement techniques.
Scanning Techniques and Live Scanning Anatomy: Master the fundamentals of scanning techniques to accurately assess and visualize anatomy. This hands-on session focuses on:
- Shoulder: Key landmarks for guiding injections and assessing joint and tendon structures.
- Elbow/Wrist: Techniques for imaging soft tissue and joint structures in the upper extremity.
- Knee: Visualizing tendons, ligaments, and joint space
- Foot/Ankle: Scanning methods for evaluating common conditions and guiding precise injections in the lower extremity.
Afternoon Session
Hands-On Session (Upper Body)
- Shoulder: Rotator cuff injuries, tendinopathies.
- Elbow: Tennis elbow, golfer’s elbow.
- Spine: Facet joints, paraspinal muscles, SI joints.
Hands-On Session (Lower Body)
- Hip: Bursitis, muscle pain.
- Knee: Patellar tendinitis, arthritis, meniscal tears.
- Ankle/Foot: Achilles tendinitis, plantar fasciitis.
Supervised practice provides live feedback from instructors. Attendees refine protocols and techniques through instructor-guided stations.
Day 2
